"Sacred" by Christi Dreese-Carter is  a new 2010 mixed media painting now hanging in the gallery.  Prints will be coming out soon for the piece.  It takes up quite a bit of room on the wall.  I am quessing the frame is roughly 28" x 36".  This painting was created with a lot of black, red, gold, and a touch of gray.   Make sure to visit my website at http://www.dreesefineart.com/ and etsy website http://www.cmdreese4.etsy.com/ for more information.

"I See Things Others Fail To See" mixed media abstract painting by artist Christi Dreese-Carter created in 2010.  I love the deep, rich red paint in this piece of artwork.  There is a hint of green and areas of gold that make this piece a more formal abstract.  An eye catching piece with a lot of movement.
This piece is about seeing the good in others.   We all have good day and bad days.  We choose what we want to see and not.  It is better to see the good than to always see the bad.  Be positive, be optimistic, and enjoy life.  You are only given one chance to live your life.  Sometimes it's hard to see through a foggy lens.  You may visit our website at http://www.dreesefineart.com/ and our etsy website at http://www.cmdreese4.etsy.com/
"The Gift" by artist Christi Dreese-Carter is a mixed media painting on 22 x 30 watercolor paper.  One of my favorite paintings that I have kept in my own personal collection.  It hangs in my bedroom.  This abstract piece reminds me of the human shape of your heart.  Strangely when I created this piece, it was a fluke that the small white shape turned out to be a heart.  It was not intentional.  So I have titled this piece "The Gift"  to be thankful for having the priveledge of loving family, friends, and someone near and dear to your heart.    You can find the print on  my etsy website  http://www.cmdreese4.etsy.com/

New Black and Blue Swirly Martini Earrings.  These earrings are made of aqua blue glass with balck swirls.  You can even find a hint of shimmery green.   The upper portion has a deep hematite stone on sterling silver earrings.  One of my newest favorite creations.  There is even a matching necklace.  Wear for a fun time out on the town.     You can find more at my etsy website http://www.cmdreese4.etsy.com/  Selling for $22 plus shipping.

I took several new photos of my jewelry.  It has  a creative touch to it.  I like the photos so much that I actually want to make prints of them.  I  love the purple in the background.  It is a nice contrast to the aqua blue.  That was a fluke and turned out wonderful.   Check back soon.  I'll be adding some new creations that are hot red with white polka dots!  We accept commissions as well.  Contact us if you need a specialty design piece of jewelry or commission artwork.
I got into making jewelry and few years ago.  I have loads and loads of beads.  So many cool beads, I don't know what to do with them.  Everytime I stop into the hobby store, I end up buying more beads!  All of the beads I love.  Anything I create is usually with my taste and style.  The designs are all pretty simple with a contemporary feel.  I'm not one for a lot of gussied up stuff.  When I get inspired to create more jewelry, I am usually upstairs in my studio with my two girls during the evening.   The girls are old enough now that they won't put beads into their mouth and don't continually "touch" the beads.  Of course they want to make jewelry too, so I have given them all of my beads from when I was a kid.  My mother has saved just about everything of my sister and my children objects.   These pair of earrings you can find on my etsy website at http://www.cmdreese4.etsy.com/ and there is a similar pair for sale at the Muskegon Museum of Art's Gift Store.  They are also carrying my original notecards and ornaments as well.

I'm looking forward to another purchase I made this week.  I bought stirling silver wire in two different gauges.  I'm going to start making my own earring findings.  This will allow me to be more creative with my jewelry.  Stop back soon.  You just might find another blog on some new pendants I'm making from my paintings.

"Beach Posts"  is a black and white photograph printed on archival paper.  Selling on our etsy website: http://www.cmdreese4.etsy.com/  This is the time of year I miss the lake.  The harsh, loooooooooong winter is dragging on and oh how I wish I was in the keys.  Relaxing beside a pool, gazing up into the bright blue sky, watching the palm trees sway back and forth.  So, I continue to dream of a warmer, up-lifting place.  Our beaches here in Michigan are spectacular.  I bought my first boat last summer and loved being out on the lake.  It is so peaceful and beautiful.  My girls absolutely loved it too. We swam in the lake, had picnics, climbed the dunes and just loved "our" time.  Here is to another great upcoming summer.  Until I'm on vacation or summer arrives, I will allow myself to dream!!!!!!!!!!!  -Christi
